Shopping District of Mackinac Island

All travel except by ambulance, police and fire is non-motorized in Mackinac Island. Plenty of ice cream and fudge available in their shopping district.

Grand Hotel at Mackinaw Island

The Grand Hotel in Mackinac Island is an awesome place.  But then I loved the whole Island.  Wish we would have stayed there but we were in our camper and stayed at the St. Ignace KOA, which by the way, is a nice campground, but definitely not the Grand Hotel. 

American Flag at Fort Mackinac

This is the American flag that flies at Fort Mackinac at Mackinac Island. I just love Mackinac Island. Every way I look there it looks like a picture that belongs on a jigsaw puzzle. So beautiful. The fort is closed right now, but they are taking applications for summer work. if you are interested They will be hiring in January for the upcoming season.

Mackinac Island Horse Drawn Carriage

Loved taking a tour by a horse drawn carriage in Mackinac Island of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The tour guide made it worth the price.
